Climate change is impacting daily lives in the mountains and plains of Asia. The future is in the hands of the next generation of students and scientists. REAMO provides an opportunity to share data and insight on an easily accessible platform to tackle these challenges.

Agriculture

REAMO’s vision is to support decision making by farmers based on real-time data. Accurate rainfall and temperature data from the field helps making informed decisions about sowing and harvesting, directly from your mobile phone.

Hydropower

The mountains of Asia provide a huge hydropower potential which has the potential to solve the energy crisis. To predict river flows and assess this potential, accurate data and information about the mountain weather is required.

Early Warning

Natural disasters such as floods and landslides result in many casualties and economic damage annually in Asia. Accurate information and real-time data about weather conditions which generally drive those disasters is essential and can potentially reduce the impacts.
